Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Where are you based?
A. The short answer is Somerset. The longer answer is: we are a 5-piece band with individual members coming from Glastonbury, Butleigh and Cheddar.
Q. What genre music do you play?
A. Mostly rock, I guess, but we have a fairly eclectic set list including punk, indie, pop and alternative, with song ranging from the 60's & 70's right up to the present day.
Q. How can we book you?
A. Just call Terry on 07971 232948 or fill out the form on the Contact page.
Q. How much do you charge?
A. Every event is unique and prices may vary depending on a number of factors, such as: the type of event, the size of the event, the event location, start and finish times, additional songs to learn, etc. Please contact us to discuss your requirements for a free no obligation estimate.
Q. What do you require at the venue?
A. Ideally we would require: -
A space of at least 4m x 3m (15 x 10 ft), this could be at ground level or on a raised stage.
At least 2 x double electrical power sockets, ideally on an independent circuit.
We have our own PA system and lights.
Q. How long does it take you to set up?
A. We generally allow 1~2 hours to set up our equipment and to have a sound check.
Q. How long does it take you to pack up?
A. It normally takes us about 30 minutes depending on access and use of any extra equipment.
Q. How long do you play for?
A. Normally we would play for around 2 ~ 2½ hours, with a 15~20 minute interval in the middle, but it all depends on each particular situation.
Q. How many songs will you play?
A. Typically we would play a set of up to about 25 ~ 30 songs from our set list.
Q. How far are you willing to travel?
A. Distance is not an issue, we have travelled to other European countries for gigs before, although please bear in mind that the cost may be affected by how far we have to travel to a gig.
Q. Can you play outside?
A. Yes, although we will need a safe and reliable electrical supply to the ‘stage area’. The ‘stage area’ should also be under cover with suitable protection, above and around the sides, from wind and rain.
Q. How far in advance should I book?
A. We make bookings on a first come first served basis so the earlier the better. We are generally making bookings approx. 4 ~ 6 months in advance.
Q. Will I need to pay a deposit?
A. We generally ask for a small deposit in advance for private parties, functions and weddings.
Q. Is it possible to cancel a booking?
A. Yes, so long as you give us at least 48 hours notice, otherwise we will still require payment in full. Deposits become non-refundable 6 weeks before an event. This is because it is usually impossible to find a replacement booking at such short notice.
Q. Are there any hidden costs?
A. No, if you give us your complete requirements, we would give you a cost that includes everything.
Q. Do I need a DJ as well?
A. It's entirely up to you. We could provide background music, a DJ as part of our service or work around your DJ, jukebox or background music.
Q. Can I ask for specific songs?
A. Given enough notice we are happy to learn new songs to include at a particular event, although there may be an additional charge for this, depending on your requirements.
Q. Do you do requests?
A. Unfortunately we can not play requests during a gig. If you would like any specific songs (including songs listed on our set list) then please discuss this with us well in advance of your event.
Q. I have booked you, do I need to do anything else?
A. Not really. We may send you some gig posters a few weeks before the event to help with your promotions. We may contact you again nearer to the date of the event to confirm final details.
Q. How can I receive TRC gig alerts by text message?
A. Text "GIGS TRC" to 82085 (text costs your normal network rate).
Q. How do I stop receiving TRC gig text alert messages?
A. Text "STOP GIGS" to 82085 (text costs your normal network rate).
